Hello World!

Here I sit on my laptop asking my DH Steven, "Honey, what would be a good name for a blog?" He just chuckles at me and shakes his head. It wasn't very long ago that I told him in no uncertain terms that I would never start a blog. But I'm starting to see it as a great way to keep a recorded memory of our lives and accomplishments. Lord knows we're not the journal-keeping or scrap booking type. This blog may turn out to be utterly boring and dull and useless to most people, but its really for us. And if a few of you out there happen to find anything of interest, then that will just be icing on the cake!

Now a little about us: I'm Caylee and my DH is Steven. We married about 2 1/2 years ago. I think I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have him. We're hoping for a baby just as soon as God blesses us with one. Until then we both stay busy with work and married life.

Steven is an avid sports fan. "Red Sox Nation" I'm learning is not just a phrase, it's apparently a way of life. That along with the New England Patriots and Nashville Predators round out Steven's favorite sports teams. He loves to golf and bowl (sp?) and anything involving airplanes/airlines/aviation is right up his alley.

I on the other hand wouldn't be affected one tiny bit if I woke up tomorrow and sports no longer existed, AT ALL! LOL I love to sing, but am shy about doing it in front of other people. I love to read and only wish that books lasted a little longer. I like to cook and try new recipes, some of which you'll see here. I'm learning to quilt and have discovered that I have a dangerous addiction to fabric, which can get quite expensive so I have to limit myself. Aside from Steven, my mom is my best friend and we talk and spend time together almost daily. I have horrible grammar when writing. I think I'm probably queen of run-on sentences and misplaced commas. If you abhor incorrect grammar, then this probably won't be the place for you.

Well that's all for now.

  1. Love the name of your blog. I would love to read more. I wish my grammar was as good as yours. Can't wait to see what you post next.
